Odds and Sods is a comedy set in a bookmakers in the West of Scotland. The story plays out over the course of one day.
Sandy has ran the bookies for more years than he cares to recall. Janice, his sole employee, is a constant thorn in his side. The business has seen better days and his only source of income or enjoyment comes from the money put over the counter by his regular clientèle of losing punters.
Among his punters the constant schemer Milton is threatening legal action, while former pop star Jordon is reneging on a deal struck to write off his gambling debts.
Frank is facing up to the fact that life has passed him by, while Shelagh is hoping he can find some money to lend her to finance her wagers.
But the biggest threat Sandy faces may well come from Shug, the long-time loser, who, sick of being taunted, places an accumulator that just might see the normality of life in Sandy’s Bookies shattered for good.

i saw the play tonight. i liked it and so did the gf, and she is hard to please by the way, my favourite character was sandy, although all 7 actors were very talented, favourite actor was the guy playing frank, and favourite line was “is that you a werewolf milton? aye it is shug” and “what is life without hope”. you nailed it there!

Cheers Andy, thanks for coming along and thanks for the comments. Glad the girlfriend enjoyed it too.
Sorry if I looked a bit vague when you said hello. I knew I knew you from somewhere, just took me a wee moment to place it.
I’ll pass along your comments to the guys and girls.
Aw the best
Tom
